Terms of service

Last updated: October 2, 2026

Before you read this

This is a plain-language summary of our terms. If anything here is unclear, call us at (850) 905-6463 and we’ll explain it. We would much rather spend ten minutes on the phone than have you agree to something you didn’t follow.

Section 1

Who we are

Vividly is a trading name of Resonating Ventures LLC, a Florida limited liability company with its principal address at 851 E Ten Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514.

In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “Vividly” mean that company. “You” means the person booking or paying for a service. “Storyteller” means the person whose life story is being recorded, who is often not the person paying.

These terms cover both of our services. By booking either one, you agree to them.

Section 2

What we offer

Interviewed sessions

A trained human interviewer calls the storyteller by telephone and has a recorded conversation about their life. Sessions are recorded, divided into individual stories, and transcribed into an archive. The transcripts also go into the book every plan includes, which the family can download and have printed. This service is national.

Every interviewed session is conducted by a person. We do not use automated or synthetic interviewers.

Section 3

Payment

Interviewed sessions
Paid in full at checkout. A session includes a year of the Line, which then renews at $99 a year. An interviewed session can be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the interview is recorded. If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled time, we keep $90 to cover the interviewer’s time and our costs.
Vividly Line
Paid in advance. The Line is paid monthly or yearly; Family Line and the Voice File, which each cover two storytellers, are paid yearly. Every plan renews automatically until cancelled, and a cancelled plan stays active to the end of the period already paid for.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store your full card number.

Prices shown on this website are in US dollars and do not include any applicable sales tax, which is added where required.

Section 5

Ownership of recordings and archives

The storyteller owns their recordings and transcripts — not the person who paid for them, unless those are the same person. This is deliberate, and it is not negotiable at checkout.

Recordings and transcripts can be downloaded in standard file formats while the plan runs and for 90 days after it ends. Anything downloaded is yours to keep, independently of us.

The storyteller designates who may listen, who may manage access, and who the archive passes to.

When the storyteller is under 18, their parent or legal guardian holds the archive on their behalf until they turn 18.

We retain a working copy of recordings and transcripts solely in order to deliver the service. See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep it.

Section 6

Printed materials and codes

  • The codes printed beside each story in the book resolve through a redirect that we maintain.
  • The Voice File includes a USB drive of each year’s recordings. The recordings do not depend on our systems continuing to run, or on us continuing to exist.
  • We may change where files are hosted or stored over time. When we do, we update the codes so that they keep working.
Section 7

Conduct and interviewer safety

Interviewers are engaged as contractors, and we recruit from backgrounds such as hospice, teaching, and ministry. We will not ask them to sit through abuse.

An interviewer may end a session, and we may end an engagement entirely, in response to abusive, threatening, or harassing conduct toward our staff or contractors. If we end an engagement for this reason, we refund any session not yet held and deliver everything already recorded.

Section 8

Limitation of liability

Some states do not allow certain limitations, and where that is the case, the limitation applies only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Section 9

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute arising out of these terms or the services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Escambia County, Florida, and both sides consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Section 10

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date at the top. The version in effect when you book is the version that applies to that booking.

We do not change terms retroactively for work already paid for.
